Natural incidence of black point (Alternaria sp.) in a group of elite advanced bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) lines

چکیده
One hundred and sixty eight elite advanced bread wheat lines were evaluated for resistance to black point during the crop season 2014-2015 at Norman E. Borlaug Experimental Station in Yaqui Valley, Mexico. Sowing dates November 19 28, December 8, 2014. Harvest threshing done manually ten spikes per line, evaluation by visual inspection, counting healthy infected grains calculate percentage of infection. The range infection first sowing date was 0 34.6%, with an average 2.7; did not show grains; second it 43.6%, 3.1%; fifty while third date, 14.7%, seventy one grains. Five three dates. Lines highest were: WAXWING/KRONSTADF2004//2*FRNCLN 18.6%, PFAU/MILAN/5/CHEN/AEGILOPS SQUARROSA (TAUS)//BCN/3/VEE#7/BOW/4/PASTOR/6/WHEAR/4/ SNI/TRAP#1/3/KAUZ*2/TRAP//KAUZ/5/C80.1/3*BATAVIA//2*WBLL1/7/C80.1/3*BATAVIA//2*WBLL1/5/REH/HARE//2*BCN/3/CROC_1/AE.SQUARROSA (213)//PGO/4/HUITES 16.0, WBLL1*2/BRAMBLING//SAAR/ 2*WAXWING/4/PBW343*2/KUKUNA//KRONSTAD F2004/3/PBW343*2/KUKUNA 15.4%. Within categories based on dates, twelve within 0.1-2.5% category, thirty 2.6-5.0%, thirteen 5.1-10.0%, seven 10.1-30.0%. group 2.3% a but some showed high like PFAU/MILAN/5/CHEN/AEGILOPSSQUARROSA(TAUS)//BCN/3/VEE#7/BOW/4/PASTOR/6/WHEAR/4/ which 43.6% date.

Single-nucleotide polymorphism frequency in a set of selected lines of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).
Information on single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in hexaploid bread wheat is still scarce. The goal of this study was to detect SNPs in wheat and examine their frequency. Twenty-six bread wheat lines from different origins worldwide were used. Specific PCR-products were obtained from 21 genes and directly sequenced. SNPs were discovered from the alignment of these sequences. The overall se...
متن کاملDistribution of gluten proteins in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) grain.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Gluten proteins are the major storage protein fraction in the mature wheat grain. They are restricted to the starchy endosperm, which forms white flour on milling, and interact during grain development to form large polymers which form a continuous proteinaceous network when flour is mixed with water to give dough. This network confers viscosity and elasticity to the dough, ...
متن کاملCold Hardiness in Near Isogenic Lines of Bread Wheat (Triticum Aestivum L. em. Thell.)
Low temperature (LT) is one of the most abiotic stresses causing loss of yield in wheat (T. aestivum). Four major genes in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) with the dominant alleles designated Vrn–A1,Vrn–B1,Vrn–D1 and Vrn4, are known to have large effects on the vernalization response, but the effects on cold hardiness are ambiguous. Poor cold tolerance has restricted winter wheat production in reg...
متن کاملstability performance of bread wheat (triticum aestivum l.) lines
the primary aim of plant breeding is to improve stability in yield and to obtain varieties with good quality. for this reason, a study of wheat varieties was conducted in 2010, 2011, and 2012 at the agricultural application and research center fields of the uludag university, agricultural faculty, in bursa/turkey. in the study, 22 advanced lines of bread wheat and gonen, pehlivan, and flamura c...
متن کاملDevelopment and Characterization of a New TILLING Population of Common Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Mutagenesis is an important tool in crop improvement. However, the hexaploid genome of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) presents problems in identifying desirable genetic changes based on phenotypic screening due to gene redundancy. TILLING (Targeting Induced Local Lesions IN Genomes), a powerful reverse genetic strategy that allows the detection of induced point mutations in individuals of the mut...
